On the Water: Our 2026 Research Operations
At Headwaters & Marine Stewards, we believe that high-quality environmental data shouldn’t be gated by high overhead costs. That is why our 2026 sampling season is powered by a unique “Founder-Funded” model that puts every donated dollar directly into the water.
Our Research Platform
Our primary field operations are conducted aboard a specialized, founder-owned research vessel. By utilizing a private vessel rather than leasing expensive commercial craft, we are able to:
- Reduce Costs: 100% of our public donations go toward mission-critical supplies, lab fees, and fuel.
- Deploy Rapidly: Our custom-rigged sampling instruments are permanently mounted and ready for deployment at a moment’s notice, allowing us to capture data during critical weather events.
- Maximize Impact: For every hour spent on the water, we are collecting [mention a specific data point, e.g., water temperature and salinity] to build a clearer picture of our local marine health.
Building for the Future
While our current missions are supported by the dedication (and the boat) of our founder, this is just the beginning.
